About Me
Hello! I'm Camille, a twenty-two year old female currently in the last leg of my Erasmus study abroad year in sunny Barcelona. I love travelling, good company and great conversation, along with coffee, tea, wine and bad jokes!
I adore meeting people from all over the world, hearing people's stories and taking photos. I am a total amateur, but if you like, you are more than welcome to check out my instagram: http://instagram.com/camillesawicka, as it is far better at showing where I have been than I am at telling you.
Depending on the circumstances, I may not always be able to host, however I am nearly always usually able to hang out and show you around the place I have been calling home for the past eight months! I really love the Gothic Quarter during the day and the Marina at night. If you would like to know more about me, or beautiful Barcelona, do not hesitate to message me.
I look forward to meeting you :-)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Like I mentioned, I love meeting people from all across the world, along with travelling from place to place. Although I've been a member for four years, I've only ever used Couchsurfing to meet up with people, so this year I'm going to take the plunge and try to stay with others, if you will have me of course!
Interests
As I've already said, I love photography, but I have a lot of other interests too. I adore singing in the shower (the acoustics are great, and the steam really helps you to hit the high notes), along with going to music gigs; we have a lot of great jazz music in Barcelona.
I have also been playing guitar since I was 14, however I am extremely out of practice. Despite being an English native, basketball is my favourite sport rather than football. I still like football, don't get me wrong, but basketball is extremely fast paced and far more exciting to watch, in my opinion.

Music, Movies, and Books
I really love nearly all types of music; I think that music is very dependent on mood . However, alternative/rock/pop punk has always remained a firm favourite of mine, so bands like Blink 182, The Maine and Yellowcard never fail to wake me up in the morning.
I don't think I could pick a favourite movie, but my favourite book is To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee :-)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I can't just pick one, so we'll go with a few;
I have worked with lions in South Africa (beautiful country, would recommend it to anyone) and I inter-railed across Europe by myself, which might seem terrifying to some; but travelling alone is another thing I would wholly recommend as it definitely gave me a new level of independence and confidence.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Stories, jokes, teabags (Green Tea is my favourite) and my amateur photography skills if you're in need of a new profile picture! ;-)
