About Me

I’m currently living in Berlin where I’m tattooing (IG: @molehole.tattoos) and studying biophysics.
I grew up in the states and have been living in Germany since 2008. I moved to Berlin with my girlfriend Malin (https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/malin-augustin) who I’m usually also traveling around with :)
We spent a while Couchsurfing and hitchhiking around, so now that we have our own place, we want to return the favor!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

At first I heard about Couchsurfing while traveling as a free alternative to hostels and whatnot. With every host I appreciated the community and philosophy behind Couchsurfing more and more as it enables people to learn so much about different people and cultures while encouraging them to be open-minded and free of judgement.

Interests

Making music, making art, traveling and learning new things!

Music, Movies, and Books

I mainly listen to hiphop, jazz and funk but enjoy most genres of music. I play piano and saxophone (mostly improvisation) and love jamming with people, so if you've got an instrument or can play one, let us know!

I love animation (everything from studio ghibli to Wallace & Grommit!) and movies in general. Especially Tarantino, Kubrick and Tim Burton but there are way too many to name them all

Mostly I read non-fiction books like "Sapiens" by Yuval Noah Harari or Jon Krakauer's books but I'm also a sucker for science fiction and "The Hitchhikers Guide to The Galaxy" is simply one of the best book series eveeeeer

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My girlfriend and I traveled around Japan and ended up on 2 Japanese TV shows. It was one of the weirdest events of my life haha

Teach, Learn, Share

I love learning about different cultures and countries, especially new food and music! Since we love cooking and eating, if you're staying with us we hope you can show us food or cooking from your country and we'd be more than happy to return the favor :)
