About Me

Hi everyone, I'm Camilo. I was born and raise in Bucaramanga, a little and beautiful city at the northeast of Colombia. I'm a musician and i'm finishing my master in musicology. I'm a really easygoing person, relaxed and smiling. I love dogs, coffee and probably all kinds of food.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Besides benefits like confortable and homely lodging, the cultural exchange and the easy ways to know people, I find at the core of this comunity one of the greatest values in our society: trust in the others goodwill. The fact that we, as hosts and guests, open our houses is a prove that we are building, maybe in a very humble way, a new and better world.

Interests

As I said before, I'm a musician, therefor one of my biggest interests during my travels is to get to know the traditional music of the places I go. To experience live performances, and to hear from the locals what that music means to them. Of course, there are other things that I like to know from other cultures, like the language, the local expressions, the old architecture of the city and those little secrets that does not appear in the books.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love good old rock music. The Beatles are my favorite band, but I enjoy a lot of musical genres. I like all kind of movies but the horror ones are my favorites. Books I like too, specially poetry and short stories.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was in South Corea with the choir of my university and the cultural exchange was amazing. It was one of the greatest experiences in my Life, also because we won a few prizes.

Teach, Learn, Share

I like to cook, I'm not the best but I like it. I think I know pretty well the history of Colombia, the traditional music and our custom. I can offer good chats and a nice company.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook, as I said before. I'm a very organized and respectful person.
