ABOUT ME
I was born and raised in Bogota, Colombia, I started travelling at the age of 13, first city I visited out of Colombia was: New York City, US. I had a great time there and had the chance to improve my English! When I finished High School in Colombia and after turning 17 years old, I moved to Shanghai, China in 2008 to learn Mandarin for 3 years!

I got the chance to travel around many cities in China and visited other countries in Asia such as: South Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia. I spent Christmas in London, UK (2008) and I went to Disney in Hong Kong (2009) I enjoyed living and traveling in Asia!

I have been living in Canada since summer 2010, I lived in Quebec city (where I learnt French), Montreal (where I studied Linguistics for 2 years) and in September 2014 I started studying Translation at York University in Toronto (where I currently live).

I can fluently speak Spanish, English, French and Mandarin and Im learning Portuguese.

I like photography, fashion, cooking, traveling, swimming, dancing and exploring the world. I enjoy meeting new people, making new friends from different countries and backgrounds!

ESPAÑOL:

Nací y crecí en Bogotá, Colombia, empecé a viajar a la edad de 13 años, la primera ciudad que visité fuera de Colombia fue: la ciudad de Nueva York, Estados Unidos. ¡Disfrute mucho mi estadía allí y tuve la oportunidad de mejorar mi Inglés! Cuando terminé la escuela secundaria en Colombia y después de haber cumplido 17 años, me mudé a Shanghai, China en el 2008 para aprender mandarín durante 3 años!

Tuve la oportunidad de viajar alrededor de muchas ciudades en China y visité otros países de Asia, como Corea del Sur, Malasia, Tailandia e Indonesia. Pasé la Navidad en Londres, Reino Unido (2008) y fui a Disney en Hong Kong (2009). ¡Disfruté mucho vivir y viajar en Asia!

He estado viviendo en Canadá desde el verano del 2010. Viví en la ciudad de Quebec (donde aprendí francés), Montreal (donde estudié Lingüística durante 2 años) y en septiembre de 2014 empecé a estudiar Traducción en la Universidad York en Toronto (donde actualmente vivo ).

Puedo hablar con fluidez: español, inglés, francés y mandarín y estoy aprendiendo portugués.

Me gusta la fotografía, la moda, cocinar, viajar, nadar, bailar y explorar el mundo. Me gusta hacer nuevos amigos de diferentes países!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In 2010 I decided to move to Quebec City in Canada, however, I did not know anyone there. I went on CS and started looking for someone who could let me stay for a few days and after contacting several people in Quebec City I found a man who kindly let me stay at his house for a week. He was very polite, friendly and respectful.

I find CS to be a great place to contact those who have a passion for travelling and making new friends from around the world as I do!

En el 2010 decidí mudarme a la ciudad de Quebec, Canadá, pero yo no conocía a nadie allí. Entré a CS y empecé a buscar a alguien que pudiera hospedar por unos días y después de contactar a varias personas en la ciudad de Quebec, encontré a un hombre que amablemente me permitió quedarme en su casa durante una semana. Él fue muy educado, amable y respetuoso.

Pienso que CS es un sitio maravilloso para contactar aquellos que tienen una pasión como la mía de querer viajar y tener nuevos amigos de diferentes partes del mundo!

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

I went scuba diving in Malaysia in a reef full of baby sharks, it was incredibly amazing but at the same time I was a little scared!

Fui de buceo en Malasia en un arrecife lleno de tiburones bebés, fue una experiencia increíblemente fabulosa, pero al mismo tiempo tuve un poco de miedo!

I think we should always strive to make our dreams come true because I believe in life impossible is nothing!

Travelling is a great way to enjoy life, meeting new people can help you develop your social skills and learn new things such as learn how to cook a national dish and even learn how to dance!

¡Pienso que siempre debemos luchar por hacer nuestros sueños una realidad, ya que en la vida no hay nada imposible!

Viajar es una buena forma de disfrutar la vida, conocer gente nueva puede ayudarte a desarrollar tus habilidades sociales y aprender cosas nuevas, por ejemplo: aprender a cocinar un plato típico de algún país e incluso aprender a bailar!

I'm a good cook and I would love to cook delicious food with hosts, share my travel experiences, provide tips about traveling and the cities I have been to. Teach new words in the languages that I master.

Me encantaría cocinar comida deliciosa con el huésped, hablar de mis experiencias de mis viajes, brindar consejos de las ciudades que he visitado. Enseñar nuevas palabras de los idiomas que sé.
