About Me
CURRENT MISSION
We are exploring South America to better understand how other people live and how we'd like to live. We want to eat a lot too.
ABOUT ME
Lindsey and I have lived totally different lives (for the most part), but met through and mutual friend in Spain while walking El Camino and got along really well. I moved to NYC after I finished teaching in Galicia and we spent the year there together. We both decided that we wanted to explore life and the world more, and try to figure out what kind of lives we want to live and what the best way to do this would be. We're both very fascinated by South America and decided to spend the next 10 months traveling and meeting as many people as possible. Soul searching tourism.
PHILOSOPHY
free love, free food, free land...idealism at its best, but it's nice to think about. I like to spread smiles and I try to see both sides to all coins (although this usually leads me to over-analyzing everything). Live and let live and remember to stretch every now and again.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I welcomed many couch surfers into my apartment in Galicia, and I really enjoyed the experience. I've only ever surfed in Sofia, Bulgaria which was a good time. I was inactive in NYC because it was hard for me, but now would like to surf more in South America.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
For most of college, I shared a rent house with 2 other guys and we hosted about 7 people. Our shotgun-style house had 2 couches and one of those cool bean bag beds to accomodate people. We usually played cards and talked on the porch, walked downtown for a beer and ate some classic Cajun dishes. It was always a good time and I look forward to being the one on the random couch (or bean bag).
In Galicia, we offered guests the living room to themselves and then toured the city together, hung out, biked, played frisbee or went out together.
Interests
I like fiction, coffee, sports (soccer, basketball, snowboarding, surfing, climbing, etc.), learning guitar (whatever style i'm surrounded by), singing the same line of a song over and over, traveling, eating, random pets, cruising around town on 2 wheels, listening to foreign accents, old architecture, different opinions, and anything and everything exhilarating.

Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach English and Spanish because i have a good understanding of the grammar of each. I can teach basic guitar but would like to learn from others. I can cook a gumbo, talk about ideas, listen to ideas, play most sports and dabble in many other things. We can also help with basic online business consulting.
