About Me
CURRENT MISSION
See, learn, make new friends and have fun doing it.
ABOUT ME
I never know what to put here. There's so much I could say but I never know what people really want to know.
I'm an outgoing, friendly person. I will talk to anyone and I'm happy to make new friends. I like live music, having a few drinks with friends, camping, being outside in the sun. I love taking road trips. I prefer the spontaneity of not planning or knowing exactly what might happen tomorrow. I think the best vacations are adventures that the average person would probably never experience. I like anything that gets my heart racing: skydiving, whitewater rafting, zip lining, rock climbing.
I don't have life figured out, not by a long shot. I'm still learning every day what makes me happy and what does not and adjusting how I live my life accordingly.
I grew up in Ohio and moved to Savannah, Georgia immediately after graduating from college because I wanted to live somewhere warm and near the beach. I worked in mortgage finance but decided I did not want to spend my life in that line of work and it was time to move on, so I pursued a new career as an analyst in computer application development that brought me to Dallas, Texas last June. Much to my dismay, this job choice did not make me happy either. So I have decided to quit my job and take a few months off to travel, meet new people, learn new things, gain new perspectives and actually take the time to pursue the things that make me happy. I have always tried to live my life without limitations in a way that I can wake up happy every day, but for a while I lost sight of that.
While I'm surfing I'm hoping to not only find people to stay with but people to spend some time with and make friends with. I'm pretty much an open book so if you have any questions feel free to ask me.
PHILOSOPHY
We are in control of our personal destiny. If you're not happy its time to make a change. Its never too late. I'm learning to live my life for me, the way I want and not by the beliefs others and society believe I should live my life.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm new to surfing. I would also like to host in the future and be a friend to surfers looking for someone to meet up with in my area.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I met an acquaintance that hosts and one of his surfers at a friends party and I instantly thought the project is a great way to both see the world and meet new people. I'm excited to begin my surfing experience.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
As I've read other profiles I realize I've not done much that is all that amazing but I think the most amazing thing I've ever done is stand on the edge of the Grand Canyon looking down. Its so outrageously huge and you feel so small. There's no way you can truly imagine it unless you experience it.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm a pretty good cook and I like cooking for others so I'm happy to do so for the people I stay with. I'm happy to help anyone wanting to learn English and I'm really wanting to learn the German language. Other than that I feel like I know so little and have so much to learn.
