ABOUT ME
I'm a fun loving Aussie larrikin that loves exploring the planet with my girlfriend, Jeni. Australia is great, and we are constantly checking out new locations. Currently we are based in Queenstown, Tasmania.
PHILOSOPHY
Do what's right and always enjoy life!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
2019 - This year had bit of a rough start. In January, the club I worked at closed down. Then we had to get rid of our beloved Troopy. I started working as a lifeguard, then we had to move out of our accommodation. Excited for the rest of it, however, about to head to the USA for a west coast road trip, then heading to the Caribbean for the 2019 Writing Excuses Cruise!
2018 - Travelled up to Darwin, via Queensland, and met a bunch of cool doggos through House Sitting. Went on to work in a beaut club in Palmerston.
2017 - We had a residence in Queenstown, Tasmania, and hosted some cool folks. I published my third book, The Holtur Enigma (which is free in ebook format), my fourth book, Boulderclaws, and fifth book, The Holtur Curse.
2016 - We went to WA for most the year, working odd jobs, house sitting, and travelling. I also published my second novel, Silvaste's Spear.
2015 - Started the year romping the east coast of Australia and finishing off my first novel, Amulet of Aesterus. I then worked a season on the Cassowary Coast, and started my own T-shirt company on the side.
2014 - Went to the USA again and did more skydiving, Jeni got her A license then we went to the UK and had a great adventure around the UK and Ireland. Surfed with a few amazing hosts
2013 - Not really a lot to do with Couch Surfing, we travelled up to Cape York in our troopy then went down to Alice Springs and run tours of all sorts of people out to a large rock.
2012 - My girlfriend, Jeni, and I hosted surfers from all over the planet, it has been an amazing experience and feels good giving back to this great community! Wangi Wangi was a great place to host people outside of the big cities but not too far from civilisation!
2011 - I had my first experiences in Canada, which was awesome, then stayed with some lovely people while I followed my favourite American band, Bomb The Music Industry, around from Indianapolis, Cincinatti and Cleveland. I then stayed with some awesome people in LA.
Interests
Skydiving, scuba diving, beach/ocean, fishing, beer making, music, concerts, learning about different cultures. I like the odd nerdy thing like Xbox, Munchkin and Mtg too.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies - Favourite movie series would be the Alien quadrilogy. but love anything that involves aliens, zombies, or giant robots and monsters. Also love anything that makes me laugh, South Park & Family guy type humor gets me every time.
Music - I am a ska fan, also like a lot of 90's punk from Highschool days but if you go through my cd collection you'd find a bit of everything.
Books - Stormlight Archive, Mistborn, Broken Empire, Reality Dysfunction. Pretty keen on most fantasy and sci-fi, the more unique the better! Of course I can't recommend the writing of Cameron Wayne Smith enough!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Skydiving! Achieved so much through it! Staying at a Kungfu school in China, getting myself up to Cape York, working the red centre, traveling the globe and CouchSurfing!
Jumped from: Stretch Fletcher, Pac750, Skyvan, Twin Otter, Balloon, Cessna! More to come!
Scuba diving, not too experienced, but I enjoy it and haven't been eaten by a shark!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you all about Aussie culture!
The importance of Timtams and Milo, how they work in unison. I am also quite the Vegemite toast chef and can whip you up some amazing toast!
Always more than happy to talk about parachuting and the safety of skydiving to help you make the decision to go for 1st jump.... or 2nd or 3rd!
Also know a bit about Australian Geography and some Aboriginal history.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Stories! No really, I'll give you a copy of my latest book if I have some spares!
Love sharing tales of travels and adventure!
