I’m Can. I live in İstanbul/Turkey. My department is American Studies and I also study English literature, cinema and European culture etc. I enjoy having conversations with strangers, sharing cultures, as my studies indicate. I can speak English very fluently, Spanish as an intermediate and of course Turkish as a mother tongue.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m an erasmus student in Spain and I want to travel as much as I can during my stay here, but as you might imagine, travelling is quite hard with a low-budget as a student. That’s why I’m looking for couches and you’d make me the happiest person in the world by sharing your home with me!

Music, Movies, and Books

I generally prefer slower musics. Some of the songs I enjoy the most are ‘Mad About You’ by Hooverphonic Orchestra, ‘Dans Le Port D’amsterdam’ by Jacques Brel, ‘La Lloronna’ by Chavela Vargas and I also enjoy classical bands such as Queens and The Beatles etc. I generally read classics but I search a lot of books from all over the world. Movies I prefer are such a big scale. I would love to have a discussions abot movies, books and music though.
