CURRENT MISSION

Hello! My wife, Myranda and I are currently on a backpacking adventure through southeast Asia. 😃 We are always looking to connect with locals to be able to receive the best experience each locale has to offer.

ABOUT ME

Myranda and I were both born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. We love to travel and experience new cultures and see what the world has to offer. I spent three years in the air force where I spent the majority of my time playing shirtless beach volleyball (I wish.) After releasing from the air force I studied construction engineering for two years and recently graduated in the end of April 2016.

I have backpacked through south America for three months back in 2009 so I am very happy to be travelling again, especially since this time I get to do it with the person I love most.

Myranda is a passionate photographer with her own business, check out Myranda Fairbridge Photography on Facebook! We have been together since high school and we're married on August 2nd 2012 💜. Myranda is the light of my life.

We are both devout vegans and firmly believe in the humane treatment of all living beings. We want to share our experiences with you and hope that you would like to do the same with us.

PHILOSOPHY

The philosophy we live by is treating all beings with the respect and kindness they deserve. Everyone feels pain, joy, sadness, and love so why not share the good ones with every one?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We are on couchsurfing to meet new, fun and interesting people and receive the most positive experience possible on our three month trip through southeast Asia.

Interests

We are very interested in finding the hidden gems of each place we visit around the world and think that couch surfing is an excellent tool to help do that! We of course love finding tasty vegan food also!!

I have travelled through Peru, Bolivia, Argentina, and Uruguay during my three months in South America.

What I Can Share with Hosts

We can offer hosts our experiences we have had living in Canada and perhaps a tasty vegan meal! Myranda is incredible at making raw vegan treats that are to die for!
