About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Experience just how global this world really has become...

ABOUT ME

I (think) am a fun person to be around. Just lively with a good sense of humour. I'm at my best when with people, exchanging, meeting new people, discovering new ways of life, new opinions...

I'm an actor/director, passionate about anything related to art, and to humans in general. Love to simply sit in a coffee, obsevre people, read... Am open to adventure, just as much as i love a good meal with friends, great wine and conversation.

My greatest sense of loss is that i'll never be able to know half of what i'd love to know.

PHILOSOPHY

Really.... just be happy. Not too original but that's what we all want from that one life isnt it? And be a better human... working hard on that every day!

One thing I'm trying hard to work on and remind myself all the time is: "You are exactly where you are supposed to be". Tough to accept and apply for a guy full of ambition who always wants to accomplish more,.. .but so reassuring!

And at time of doubt, one sentence saved and keeps saving me over and over: "What would you do if you were not afraid". Try it!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I Have hosted a lot of people in Toronto, met incredible friends, and can't wait to keep doing that. each new person is a new window on the world and I'm loving it! Traveled across Eastern Europe in the Balkans for two months in 2012 and got the chance to experiment more as a guest being hosted. Lots of wonderful experiences and amazing people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Had the pelasure to spend a few nights in two different houses in Italy The experience rocked, i wouldnt do it any other way! Met some amazing people, has a way more "local" knowledge of the country.
I have been hosted in Prague, Bratislava, Vienna and Serbia, only to name a few. Strangers who didn't know me left me their apartment to crash in while they were away, a guy in Macedonia took me on the outskirts of Skopje to experiment the city in a way no tourist ever get the chance to. I've discovered worlds and wonders in the hands of open minded peoplee who have i common the desire to exchange and be part of something human and global.

I enjoyed all the people I've hosted in Toronto, and having them leave was always a bitter sweet experience. Some of them are really close to my heart and I consider good friends.

Music, Movies, and Books

One of my favourtie book has to be "The Hours", by Cunnigham. Just goes to show how a simple book can change a person's outlook on life...

Dogvile is my favourite movie. Lars Von Trier is a genius. Melancholia was another proof of that. 8 Femmes, by Francois Ozon comes close second. Then anything by Hitchcock, Bergman or Antonioni

As for music... Jann Arden (get on it if you don't know that Canadian singer) Robyn, The Cranberries, Mylène Farmer

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well.... goes from having listened to Edith Piaf's voice in Paris, to helping my best friend give birth to her baby. I was the first person to hold the child, cut the cord... bring him into this world. He's now an amazgin 8 yrs old child....
The Balkans were life changing. Belgrade for it's vibrant charm, Sarajevo for it's dramatic melancholy. And Albania for the most beautiful people to be surrounded with (I'm talking inside here.). I've pet a sleeping cougar, Shot a movie live as the audience was sitting in the screening room. Life is cool.

Teach, Learn, Share

The easy things would be the language... and the everyday culture.. of both my country or the one i'll visit. But it's way more than that... when people connect and are brought together by the love of something ( travel, in this case???) great things can happen. We all have so much to share and teach each other. Walking into this with no specific expectations... just looking to be surprised.
