ABOUT ME

Well, I got the travel bug when I was 16 and went to France,Germany, and Switzerland with my choir- amazing experience getting to sing in beautiful old churches that were acoustically built for just that! And so, once I finished school I went to Australia for teachers college for a year, fell in love (with the country and an Auzzie) and convinced myself to stay another year. And now, Im off to South Korea to teach for a year and more traveling in the process! Then my Auzzie and me are off the backpack Europe and hopefully see some of Africa! Life is good :)

As my travel date quickly approaches, I would like to make some connections so when I get to a new place- I can really make the most of my time. And in turn, I would love to offer my services and support to any travelers in return!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I was introduced to cs by my most adventurous boyfriend who uses cs religiously when he travels. I think its a brilliant concept and is a fantastic way to connect like minded people. In saying this, Im still new to the game, so I havent really had an official cs experience- but Ive only heard good things and Im looking forwards to gettin amoungst it!

I love reading (yes, Im a nerdy English major) swimming, hiking, biking, music (all kinds), concerts, festivals, strange and interesting experiences!

One of the most amazing things Ive seen is one human saving another humans life...

Teach, Learn, Share

This is a great philosophy- and I truly try to live by it. I met this man once at a christmas party, he was a co-workers partner and he was deaf. I really wanted to learn sigh language, and I only knew the alphabet, so I asked him if he could teach me and I would pay him. He said, lets just be friends- I can learn just as much from you as you can from me...
And that was it- I was convinced, this is a great way to live, we all learn from each other! Now, Im fluent in ASL and he is one of my best friends :)
