About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To make the world a better place with art. And love and happiness

ABOUT ME

I enjoy the sound of wind in trees, rain on the window, hot water bottles, sun on my back, light filtered through the fabric of a tent, small things in incongruous places, friendly cats, cycling, deformed vegetables, smiling faces, cloud gazing, sharing food, red wine with friends and beautiful objects.

I live off many cups of tea and yummy vegetarian food. I think that the morning is one of the loveliest times of the day and I'm usually up in time to watch the sun rise from the veranda of our house.

In my arts practice I work with many materials and media including textiles, printmaking and drawing. I mainly make objects, sometimes small, and sometimes enormous! I've also been involved in some incredible community arts projects and I love love love making art with other people, it's a great way to get to know them.

I love the world we live in and want it to stick around into the future. I've worked for a bunch of environmental organizations in Canberra and have been lucky enough to meet and work with a huge number of amazing and passionate people who continue to inspire me onto greater things.

PHILOSOPHY

Have fun, do good, wear dresses

Music, Movies, and Books

I like all those things yes. Right now I am listening to Elliott Smith and reading A Confederacy of Dunces by John Kennedy Toole and enjoying it very much.

I cried heaps in the movie Up

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I taught 70 children under the age of seven how to use a sewing machine, nobody hurt themselves and everybody had fun!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to sew or how to enjoy drawing if you think you aren't very good at it.
I'd like to learn music skills and spanish words
I can share meals, wine, pancakes and inspiration

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook you a meal or offer you a challenging game of pictionary

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, France, Indonesia, Japan, New Zealand, Spain
