Hello,
my husband and I are from Alberta, Canada. We are currently living in Liverpool, UK. My husband and I are working for the church of England for a year. He is working as an assistant chaplain and I am working on a community organization project. Back in Canada I was working as a Social Worker working with homeless people, and my husband worked for the church we attended. We are done work in Mid may, and will be traveling over the summer in Europe. We will then be returning to Canada at the end of June.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We recently went to Norway and stayed with a friend of a friend who we had never met. Then he recommended some other people to stay with, so we ended up staying with 3 different groups of people, from 3 different cities. We LOVED this trip, and loved getting to know the people that we stayed with. I enjoy the idea of getting to know people and having friends all over the world!

Interests

I love meeting new people and seeing new places. I enjoy reading, running, music, theatre, and I love a good cup of coffee!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went to Africa in 2013 with a charitable organization. I got to meet the little boy that I have sponsored for many years now in Rwanda. It was an amazing experience and something that I will never forget. My father in law runs the organization, so I will be sure to go back at some point.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My husband and I are very sociable and love sharing our personal experiences. I love talking about social justice issues facing the world and learning about peoples personal experiences. We have stories to share from our travels world wide and well as Canada and England.
