About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Live with less and share more.

ABOUT ME

I'm curious, spontaneous, and generally pretty calm. I had a lot to learn so I travelled the world for a few years. Lived and worked in the middle east and south and east asia. I just finished my medical residency and am specialized in primary care for underserved populations. After a gang attack while working in Chicago I had a stroke; this was two years ago and I'm finally off for another adventure.

PHILOSOPHY

Humans are evolving toward becoming multi-sensory beings. Living consciously and with awareness turns off the useless chatter of the mind and allows us to feel, love, and choose how we will act and react.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have yet to have a steady place of my own but when I settle down I will start paying forward all the kindness I've accummulated.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

It's been great so far and I've met some fantastic people.

Music, Movies, and Books

Haruki Murakami (Kafka On the Shore, the Wind-Up Bird Chronicle . . . he writes about people in transition who are discovering hidden realms and underworlds), Karen Armstrong (religious scholar from Oxford who used to be a nun), The Master and Margarita, The Conscious Universe, The Glass Bead Game, A Separate Peace. The Economist.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I crossed the khyber pass alone so I could visit Mazar e sharif in Afghanistan.

Teach, Learn, Share

Share: interest in you and how you manifest in the world, a curiosity of the body and consciousness aided by both the study of science and mysticism, love for the world and its people, and decent cooking skills (though honestly i make a better sous-chef).
