About Me

I'm easy going and I want everyone to have a good time all the time!!!

I love hearing new stories and meeting new people. Sitting on the steps outside a home with a cigarette in one hand and a beer in another while talking about our dreams and desires is probably my favourite thing to do in the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Two years ago, I used couchsurfing when I travelled across Canada for two months. I met great people who I still keep in touch with today! Now, I want to do the opposite and meet similarly amazing people from cultures and backgrounds I haven't had a chance to experience.

Interests

Recently, I decided that maybe I'd like to be a screen composer, but that will probably change again. I also play keyboards in an alternative pop/rock band with music that is probably too serious for my tastes. Other interests include black coffee, karaoke, veganism, cats, and casual biking.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite musician is Sufjan Stevens. He is the only musician that has both crushed and saved my soul. The rest of my tastes range between Kero Kero Bonito, Gorillaz, and Gwen Stefani.

I like movies, but I'm often too indecisive to watch them. When I do, I find myself looking for emotional stories about humans and what it means to be a human. It's hard to explain, but some examples include "Short Term 12", "Melancholia", "The Virgin Suicides", and "Carol". Apparently, I also like films with female leads.

I read the Myth of Sisyphus a few years ago. I'd like to think it's changed the way I live my life, but who knows.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One time, I cried in the back alley of my work over an argument on which is better - East or West Toronto. Obviously, the argument wasn't the real reason why I cried, but I thought it was pretty amazing anyway.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: I am very good at roasting vegetables. Let me show you.

Learn: I think the photography bug may have recently bit me. Would love to learn a technique or two.

Share: Any and everything. I like communal experiences. Let's communally do the dishes together for example!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I will almost always offer to buy you a beer to coax you into hanging out with me.
