About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To explore, travel, meet others, and learn new cultures!
ABOUT ME
I recently graduated from university and am working full time as a legal assistant. I spent a lot of time working and living abroad, predominantly in South America - I lived for a year studying in Chile and 6 months working as an English teacher in Brazil. I'm currently looking to go to graduate school and spend a lot of my spare time hanging out in the city with friends exploring new areas and restaurants. Ever since I studied abroad, I've had a serious case of wanderlust and am always looking for opportunities to travel and visit new places!
PHILOSOPHY
I think it's important for one to step out of their comfort zone because that's where some of the best experiences come from. It's important to always keep an open mind and be welcoming to differences you find between yourself and others or other cultures.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have couchsurfed in Chile, Argentina, and Brazil. I love traveling and especially enjoy getting to know locals. I think this provides a much more interesting and immersive experience, and I look forward to one day hosting others when I am able to.
Interests
I enjoy a variety of things, but like to keep things calm and easygoing. My current favorite thing is to attend the free concerts in my city's park with some friends while having a bit of wine along with the great company and amazing music.
I love food. I'm definitely no food critic or snob, and enjoy all food rather equally. I am always looking for new places and things to try. Though having traveled and sampled a wide variety of cuisines, I'd have to say that feijoada is one of the top dishes I've had.
I am also an avid collector. My main collection is shot glasses, typically one from each city I visit. I do have a smaller collection of beer bottles, such as this interesting jalapeño ale that I tried (which was pretty tasty), as well. A sort of tackier bottle collection is my Coca Cola glass bottles I brought back from South America. However, my favorite collection would definitely be my coin collection - I even have a coin from the Third Reich, which someone gave to my father when he was stationed in Germany.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like mainly sci-fi. Growing up I was an avid Tamora Pierce reader, and the Lord of the Rings are my favorite movies.
