ABOUT ME

I am an energetic and creative being who likes to help make the world a better place to be. I'm a writer and film maker from Calgary, Canada (my hometown listed on the side is where I grew up), as well as singer songwriter (although I haven't written any songs lately). I also do energy healing as a part time business, which I love, but my creative pursuits bring me the most joy in life.

I'm also new to couchsurfing, so I haven't "surfed" yet or hosted, but looking forward to starting. :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm new to CS, so I haven't had any couch surfing experiences for either hosting or surfing.

Interests

writing (film), film making, singing, guitar, riding my motorbike, skiing. Most of my time these days is spent working on my film projects, either writing, producing / directing or editing my films. I also enjoy going to spiritual gatherings and meeting other people who are all about creating conscious community and generally making the world a better place.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The night that I asked for a very clear sign that moving to Toronto was the right decision. I went out onto my balcony as some Northern lights started to break out. Before long, it looked as though the whole sky exploded; the lights were moving extremely fast, changing color and I could even hear the crackling noise they make. This alone was pretty amazing, considering I lived in the city, in a very brightly lit apartment complex. Then some of the lights started to form a shape, as the rest of the lights kept up the show. Within about 5 minutes, all of the lights formed the shape of a Thunderbird, which is one of my main totem animals. I asked my friend who was visiting, if she saw what I saw, and she said that it looked like a hawk or an eagle, so I knew I wasn't imagining things. Years later, at a trade show, a client asked where my company name, Thunderbird Sky came from. I told her that story and her jaw dropped. She said she was there that night and saw that. That experience was pretty hard to top, so I'll leave my "amazing things" list to just one! :)
