About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To make a difference and witness new and amazing things.

ABOUT ME

I laugh a lot, I believe it's good for the soul, as well as eating well.
Despite living on the south side of city, I jump at the opportunity to show another my hometown! I adore this site and its members and would love to share what I know, when I can!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Traveling in Europe, I couchsurfed in a few places and met up with some locals/travelers also using couchsurfing. Several years ago, I met many couchsurfers who visited Austin, showing them some of my favorite places. I'm back now that I'm able to travel again!

For the most part, couchsurfing has provided a fantastic basis at each city I traveled and met CSers in. People are normally welcoming and extremely nice, and always willing to show me some of their favorite things about the city.

Interests

I love to be creative (cooking, dancing, painting, gardening) and relax with friends. Generally speaking, I prefer a chill night out instead of partying.

Music, Movies, and Books

Jazz, Latin and some pop is what I listen to mostly. Harry Potter, obviously. And anything that involves a physical journey with some splashes of fantasy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiking up a mountain in Assisi, Italy. Mule trails, cliffs, hail storms, lightning storms, a lot of rain, mysterious horses in the distance, and finally hitchhiking. One of the greatest days of my semester in Italy.

Teach, Learn, Share

Being a South Austinite, I can share with others what it's like as a true Austinite. Show the simple pleasures of this city and the laid back attitude of those of us who were born and raised here.

I live on a ranch, immediate access to hiking trails, many horses and other animals as well as neighboring a bird sanctuary. I would love to show visitors the simplicity of southeast Austin here at the ranch as well as some of my favorite South Austin spots. (I currently have a roommate, but can open my home up in the future when she moves out!)

What I Can Share with Hosts

II love to cook, so I would love to share a homemade meal with someone based on ingredients we shop for as an exchange of cultures!

Languages are my absolute passion and I wouldn't mind speaking with others in the languages I know (not many right now) or learning a bit of their native languages.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Costa Rica, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Portugal, Spain

Countries I’ve Lived In
