Overview
About Me
I have worn many hats. I have worked as a pediatric physical therapist, have been a stay-at-home mom, a lactation educator, and a freelance writer/editor. Currently my husband and I have a Cottage Food Operation out of our home baking gluten free and grain free baked goods that we sell at a local farmer's market. Though I have never Couchsurfed, I have stayed in hostels and family owned B and Bs around Europe. I am a people person and Couchsurfing satisfies my secret desire to have a little cafe.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My husband, Jim and I were introduced to Couchsurfing through our son Anders. Anders Couchsurfed in Sweden while traveling in Europe in the summer of 2016. This past spring and summer (2017) we have hosted several Couchsurfers through Anders' profile while he was living here and attending university. We have thoroughly enjoyed meeting new people and having interesting conversations about different cultures. We are now ready to have a profile of our own!

Music, Movies, and Books
As for music, I love everything from classical and jazz, to funk and classic rock. Earth, Wind, and Fire and The Beatles are two of my favorite groups.
Favorite movies include Jane Austen adaptations and anything with Audrey Hepburn.
I enjoy all kinds of books from autobiographies to historical fiction. New favorite author is Louise Penny.
