ABOUT ME

I'm a singer/songwriter who likes to go on tour. I'm a DIY artist. I write, perform, record my own music. I'm currently performing with Emily Rowland, my best friend and amazing band mate! Together we form the duo, Melody Pond.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm a singer/songwriter, now traveling with my duo, Melody Pond. Sometimes we travel to places where we don't have our normal network of friends and family to stay with. We very much appreciate a nice, safe place to crash while we are touring. We travel with our own food and air mattress, and are very low maintenance. I've used CouchSurfing a few of times, and have meet some really cool and interesting people I will remember for the rest of my life!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We couch surf constantly, but only used CouchSurfing a couple of times while I toured the country for a solid 5 months. I hope to return the favor once I get back into my house and have room for people to crash.

Music, Movies, and Books

We mostly stick to music that can't be found on commercial radio stations. College and community radio is where it's at! We listen to a wide variety of genres, my favorite being indie folk.

My favorite books: The Red Tent, anything by Carl Hiassen

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A non-stop 5 month tour to the west coast. I gave up my home and most of my possessions to embark on the journey of following my dreams! I lived out of a travel trailer with my husband, and two dogs, and was essentially homeless for the next year. So worth it!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to crochet, how to play a song on the guitar (or at least get you started), how to prepare a delicious vegan meal. I can share my music with you. (Just ask and will throw you a mini house concert). I'm down to learn all that I can about everything I can. I'm on a journey of self discovery and reinvention. Would always love an insight into the cultures, scene, hidden treasures of the places we visit.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can offer music, stories from the road, and any/all of the things mentioned above. I usually leave my hosts with a CD of my music too :)
