About Me

Well I am a German - and I can tell you, a lot of things you ve heard about them are true.First I complain and then I try to be positive about pretty much everything. A good lesson I learned during my travels: everything always will work out. There is always a way and that is a great mindset for life in general.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The main reason would be meeting people, exchanging political and cultural views, perspectives and knowledge. There is more in life than the bubble you live in.

Interests

I love long distance train rides. That one activity I probably spend most time of my life with so far. Fits as a good metaphor for life in general. You jump on, you make some stops, you might get off, you meet some people, you get back on and hope you don't find yourself in the middle of a group chinese people eating chicken feet.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived in Brooklyn/New York City for a period of time. There I kept myself busy with mostly doing nothing and getting pleasingly fat. Well, there was this one main activity: driving around with my best friend Joseph exploring a dirty industrial city. Besides that I went to lots of places in Europe like Greece (Acid and Athens), Croatia (mainly for these crazy electronic music festivals there and the British crowd) or far more abroad like Cambodia, where we broke into the Angkor Wat temple or couchsurfed in a 4 Star Hotel. I did these amazing travels through SEA and Argentina with my best travel buddy Helen and we survived seven weeks of China. That was by far the craziest thing I ever did: China with a backpack.

And in the first months of 2017 I studied in Bali. I can literally tell, I had the best summer of my life. I learned surfing, scooter driving, snorkeling and the list goes on and on.

Teach, Learn, Share

I just adore Asian cuisine (that includes Chinese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese or Japanese kitchen) still learning how to make the best Pad Thai in the world.

Once I cleaned and rearranged the apartment of our host in Xi'an. Let's call it interior design skills. In case you have a hoola hoop I can teach you some tricks

No German. Life's really to short for that.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share all kinds of funny stories with you, talks about German counter culture, East Germany, my neverending study vita, marketing related topics, my great taste in music, things I really like: ice cream, sunsets, my home city Berlin, party life, my high affinity for weird places (not to mention the dwarf theme park in China).
