ABOUT ME
I've recently decided to start work on my PhD in philosophy this fall at Villanova University, so in the meantime I've quit my job and decided to spend the summer in Austin, TX. To get there, though, it'll take a cross-Confederacy road trip from my current place in Nashville, stopping in Memphis, Little Rock, and Dallas.
PHILOSOPHY
All things excellent are as difficult as they are rare.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I haven't Surfed much myself, but I've hosted several people and had great times with them.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have couchsurfed briefly in Columbus, GA, with a friend who had an account, and more recently in Birmingham, AL. I've hosted some wonderful wanderers from Italy, Slovenia, Switzerland, and--no less exotic--New Jersey.
Interests
History, American and world politics, "the idea of" revolution, philosophy, lo-fi recording, running, old movies, old music, old things in general... Women... Drinking... Etc.

Music, Movies, and Books
Beginning to answer this would be pointless.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Well, one time I stumbled all the way across Paris completely and unexpectedly blind... By myself. I felt like a badass when I got to my friend's apartment, but then I remembered I was blind and in terrible pain so I just fell down in his kitchen and cried.
Teach, Learn, Share
Every day out of school reminds me how little I have learned. I can talk to you about history, politics, and philosophy, but I've always been better with questions than answers.
