Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Just getting started. In the good old days before internet, while on a motorcycle trip I would stop and help people with car trouble, sometimes end up camping in their yard.
Or I would stop and volunteer at projects I encountered on the trip.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I tried to sail to Cuba on a canoe I built myself.

My rudder broke, I was becalmed and carried away by the current, a ferocious storm came, I spent several days hallucinating from exhaustion and sleep deprivation.
I found out I have funny voices in my head. The sounds of the waves and sails taught me to sail my broken boat to Florida. Then my troubles really began...
