About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To serve and be a part of my global community
ABOUT ME
I am 27 years old and recently completed a Global Masters of International Relations, where I lived in 5 countries (Austria, Thailand, Switzerland, Netherlands, and UK). I am now about to embark on a new big adventure - 27 months of service with the US Peace Corps. I will be serving in Jordan. After 3 months of training in Amman, I will be assigned a permanent post. I hope to start hosting surfers after my first 3 months at post (Peace Corps rules does not allow guests the 1st 3 months at post).
I love photography - spent the past 7 years selling cameras and teaching photography. You can see the photos I've taken since beginning my Master's degree travels here:

I am a bit of geek as well - Star Wars/Star Trek, Doctor Who, etc - so if you're also a Sci-Fi geek we can talk! :-)
Being an IR scholar - I thoroughly enjoy learning about the politics of each country so I may ask a lot of political questions.
PHILOSOPHY
Nothing is regrettable if you've learned something from it. Everything helps shape me to the person I am becoming - and hopefully it's always for the better.
Personal favorite quotes:
'Knowledge will forever govern ignorance' - James Madison
'Do not inject logic into my reality'
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Starting in April 2015, after my training and initial 3 months at post, I intend to start hosting surfers. In the meantime, I will gladly meet with surfers as they pass through wherever my village is!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I surfed for the first time in Italy - stayed with a wonderful host in Milan, met up with people in Venice and Rome. It's been wonderful so far!
Surfed in Sweden - Borlange and Uppsala! :-)

I'm a big George Orwell fan too. I am a sucker for a good political dystopia.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Volunteered with the Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai, Thailand - absolutely incredible experience and I highly encourage taking a trip to the reserve if you are in Chaing Mai!
Volunteered with Habitat for Humanity in San Salvador, El Salvador
First trip out of the country was India - completely fell in love with the country.
I've climbed mountains, swam under waterfalls, seen Mozart's Operas in Vienna, tasted real Italian wine - and plan on doing so much more! I try to take advantage of as many opportunities as I can!
Teach, Learn, Share
I taught Photography the last 5 years - would love to help if you're interested in learning a bit!
