ABOUT ME

I'm a big-picture kind of guy. I'm interested in widening my scope and perspective whenever and however I can. (OK - perhaps not "however", but I'm quite open-minded) Art is one of my prime vehicles for self-exploration, as are meditation, and conscious self-reflection. I make somewhat dark, but humourous artworks in paint, printmaking, and collage. I love Hacky-Sack so if you kick, let's kick it!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have couch-surfed near-complete strangers at my apartment in montreal (before I hit the road February 07). I didn't really know about couchsurfing.com until just before I left. I usually have an open couch when I have my own place, and look forward to offering it through this site when I re-settle this fall. Meanwhile I make friends from around the world whereever I roam (US, Canada, S E Asia, India, and now W. Europe in the last year).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

One surf/stay in Frankfurt. Various people hosted (good friends to nearly complete strangers), but not yet through couchsurfing.com.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Too many things, last Month I was struck by a falling Lampost in Delhi, luckily a very glancing blow. This past year I've seen tons of world heritage sites including: Angkor Wot, Hoi An, Halong Bay, Ajanta Caves, Ellora caves, the Taj Mahal, Mahaballipuram, Khajuraho, Bodhgaya.

Perhaps the most amazing thing though, was to sit (I was lucky to find enough space on the floor) on an overnight 3rd class train in India. I've done that twice this year - more than enough for a lifetime!

Lehren, lernen, teilen

My gifts are in Drawing, Composition, collage and Photography. I have a history of being a good teacher (in professional and personal contexts) with the ability to inspire, encourage and critique for improved visual creation. (Visual art always boils down to the same basic elements and principles which are easily learned from a good teacher!)

I'm also into sharing Yoga or meditation space/practice with like-minded individuals.
