About Me

CURRENT MISSION
growing veggies on my half acre urban farm, music, roadtrips

ABOUT ME

first of all, im a levelheaded, stable kind of guy. when things get tense, i keep calm and work it out. im very adventurous and always thinking up my next big trip. i love to party and have a good time but i still take care of business and get the work done. i am an entrepeneur and try to be self employed whenever possible, never content punching the clock and putting my projects on the backburner.

PHILOSOPHY

I'd rather add life to my years than years to my life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have hosted and couch surfed quite a few times, but never through the website, just by randomly meeting and making friends. i want to meet more people through CS and eventually be able to host at my self constructed dream home and farm/ B and B/ hostel.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Most of the Couchsurfing i've done has been the spontaneous kind. Hitch hiking around new zealand, many people would invite me to stay the night if it was getting late and i didnt have a ride. also just meeting other travelers and staying with them later on down the road, and then hosting them at home in Colorado.

Interests

In the summer, I spend most of my time growing veggies, doing landscaping and maintenance for my clients, swimming, taking road trips, going to concerts, playing music and rockhounding. wintertime sees me cooking a lot, hybernating, and snowboarding in the backcountry or at Steamboat or Asspen. Three of my greatest passions are growing plants, playing music, and finding and collecting gems and minerals.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Last year I played a show at a local venue with my group Fractal Cactus. It was only our third show and we had worked very hard on the set. As we launched into the first song, the dancefloor began to fill up. we fed off the energy and by the third song the floor was full, and when we dropped it, the whole crowd was jumping up and down in a complete frenzy. it was the Best show I've ever played and I know now I want to go on tour someday.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach some basic guitar playing techniques and styles and i love to jam and improvise. I am very knowledgeable about Gems and Minerals, wild edible plants, gardening, and wilderness survival/trekking. Please teach me more about woodworking, natural building, masonry, plumbing, stone carving, instrument building, sailing, skydiving, and other extreme sports.
