About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To gain a greater understanding of the Earth and its people through travels and experience.

ABOUT ME

Currently I work as a fisheries observer. That means I work on a big fishing boat. With a factory on it. In the cold waters of the Bering Sea, Alaska. It's a weird job. But when I get off the boat, I fly to different and exotic lands...

PHILOSOPHY

Believe in yourself, focus your mind, have the right attitude, and your even your wildest dreams can become reality. Everything is perfect - if you don't agree, you're just not looking at it the right way. Inspire through example.

"We die containing a richness of lovers and tribes, tastes we have swallowed, bodies we have plunged into and swum up as if rivers of wisdom, characters we have climbed into as if trees, fears we have hidden in as if caves.

I wish for all this to be marked on by body when I am dead. I believe in such cartography - to be marked by nature, not just to label ourselves on a map like the names of rich men and women on buildings. We are communal histories, communal books. We are not owned or monogamous in our taste or experience."
-Michael Ondaatje, The English Patient

Music, Movies, and Books

The Tao of Pooh

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

While traveling in China I decided to indulge in a Kill-Bill inspired fantasy and spent a month training in Kungfu under a Shaolin monk in the mountains of the Shandong province. It was a challenging - imagine bear-crawling up and down seemingly unending steps carved into the face of the mountain - but I also met some cool people, including a Somalian pirate hunter.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach English, Spanish, Mandarin Chinese, gymnastics, stretching techniques, how to spin poi, jump rope tricks, how to revamp old shirts by cutting them up in interesting ways...I have a great electronic bass music library straight from San Francisco that I am more than happy to share with the people I meet!I am a performer and enjoy entertaining with my poi (and maybe even lighting them on fire...) I would love to learn any new thing or skill. The more random, the better!
