ABOUT ME

My name is Caoife- pronounced "Kifa" :)

I grew up in Ireland, but for the last couple of years I've been living in Canada- first in Montréal and now on the east coast in New Brunswick.

I used to work as an English teacher, but now I'm taking a course at the Craft College in Fredericton.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am on Couchsurfing to meet people from around the world in order to learn and share. If you come to Fredericton I am happy to meet you and show you around :) I live in a teeny tiny apartment so can only host small groups.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

When travelling with a friend, we met some lovely people and stayed on some excellent couches in New York and Boston, then later in Beijing and the grand Ulaanbaatar. Then later I met some wonderful hosts in Sweden and Argentina.

Interests

I love travelling, meeting new people and exploring new places. I love learning about cultures and languages, especially language revitalisation situations.
I like making things-jewellery, puppets, bags, pop-up cards, cardboard furniture...
I'm also interested in art, music, foraging, the environment and science.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can show you how to make some delicious Irish brown bread that your Granny would be proud of :) And maybe even an Irish jig if you're lucky! And am interested in learning anything you care to share.
