ABOUT ME
Updated on 08.29.2015
Brazilian, 30 years old guy, that tries to follow two philosophies clearly defined: get yourself out of your comfort zone is essential in life and less is always more!
Passionate about travelling (to the extreme), especially to not so touristic places, in hiking and trekking in mountains and coastal landscapes, on enjoying and chilling out by looking at amazing views with a good company (people or book), in swimming in waterfalls or natural pools and on hitchhiking on motorized vehicles or not, especially on old and humble ones - so cozy!!!
Easy going fella who is lucky enough to find peace and joy in simple things in life.

PHILOSOPHY
Enjoy everything you can in life before you get older enough to avoid them or simply just couldn't enjoy anymore...you only have one life as it is. Don't waste it on doing what don't make you happy.
Manage your time! One of the most precious things you have!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
With everything i can...host, surf, tips, meet, hang out, chill, spots to see, places to go, things to do....whatever. Just ask!!!!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have been in many places (not as many as I wish, though) using couchsurfing spirit and vibe as much as possible. Not only I had the pleasure to meet, host, surf and hang out with many locals along my way, but also I have developed a different passion for travelling and a necessity of immersing myself into the local habits and culture. Without "Couchsurfing" I don't believe I could have reached those senses.
Interests
I really enjoy travelling with friends, girlfriend or even alone. Different types of travelling, but one thing in common: travel is about the people you meet along the way and the experiences shared.
Other interests include practicing sports like hiking and trekking (my favourites) in stunning nature landscapes, rafting and running, hitchhiking whenever possible (it is so cool to talk to drivers and share stories of the road itself), going to insane parties and laugh.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: any kind with a good story to tell.
Music: good and old Rock n' Roll, Latin, Reggae, Blues, Jazz, Folk, Samba, Ska, Salsa, House, etc.
Basically I like everything is well played and performed. Crappy music no! It is funny: all the musical instruments have a good vibration that makes me chill!
Books: about travelers, about freedom, about how to make you think bigger, etc...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Traveled with my father in 2015 during 30 days in Mongolia's countryside. 30 days of hiking, camping, exploring nomad life, living in GER's with nomads. Together we climbed Malchin Peak in Altai Mountains (4.050m), one of the top 3 highest peaks in Mongolia which is possible to see Russia, Kazakhstan and China in the same landscape. By the way, the "legend" (my father) is 65 years old.
Play "UNO" card game with Kazakhs in western Mongolia. Everytime someone won, we needed to take shots of Vodka. Being called by the name of "Andruska" was priceless!
One new year's eve i did 14 hours of hiking in some of the most difficult landscapes in Brazil. I crossed rivers, waterfalls and climbed some spots in order to get "that amazing view" of nature, just to be in that special place and time. That holiday i did 40 hours of trekking in 3 days.
Quit job without anything else at hand, and started backpacking alone throughtout South America and North America, mainly by hitchhiking. 6 spectacular months. Experience for life!
Teach, Learn, Share
Be yourself and do not be afraid of saying what it must be said.
Follow your dreams. You have one life. Don't waste it on living other people's life. As Mark Twain once said: "Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”
One of my favorite quotes (for inspiration and digestion):
“I am one of the searchers. There are, I believe, millions of us. We are not unhappy, but neither are we really content. We continue to explore life, hoping to uncover its ultimate secret. We continue to explore ourselves, hoping to understand. We like to walk along the beach, we are drawn by the ocean, taken by its power, its unceasing motion, its mystery and unspeakable beauty. We like forests and mountains, deserts and hidden rivers, and the lonely cities as well. Our sadness is as much a part of our lives as is our laughter. To share our sadness with one we love is perhaps as great a joy as we can know - unless it be to share our laughter.
We searchers are ambitious only for life itself, for everything beautiful it can provide. Most of all we love and want to be loved. We want to live in a relationship that will not impede our wandering, nor prevent our search, nor lock us in prison walls; that will take us for what little we have to give. We do not want to prove ourselves to another or compete for love.
For wanderers, dreamers, and lovers, for lonely men and women who dare to ask of life everything good and beautiful. It is for those who are too gentle to live among wolves.”
