About Me

CURRENT MISSION

My current personal mission is to become the most complete musician I can while growing as a thinking and thoughtful human being. Not easy everyday - we all have our own personal demons - but I stick to three essential words: kindness - trust - labor. And I am excited about life promises...

I'd be really happy to share my passion for music with you and I'd also love to learn more about yours!

ABOUT ME

I am always thirsty to learn new things. I studied in different fields such as political sciences, visual arts and now music, more specifically classical singing. I am interested in all kinds of music, although I have grown in the classical field (with a special passion for Ancient Music).

I'm a very social person, I think meeting people and listen to their life stories is one of my greatest passions. I love to hear one talking about what she or he loves to do in life. If you're avid about something, I'll be happy to listen to you and learn anything you'd like to share. I remember meeting a writer Couchsurfer in Italy and we had a blast just talking about his vision of literature and arts (ok, the Venitian summer context added even more sparkling to the discussion! ;))

To make money, I work as a tour guide in Paris so I also enjoy sharing my love for my city (if you're the same, I'd be happy to follow you!!)

When I was 21, I spent a year in the USA and this experience changed my life. It is literaly the first time I understood what it meant to be born in a specific country, with a specific culture, and the influence it has on people - even inconsciously. It made me balance my own cultural habits and compare it to those of my American friends. I also started to think more deeply about international political visions and understood how important it is to move from your home country to help one's thinking process growing in an open-minded way, to understand that nobody's the centre of the world...

PHILOSOPHY

I don't really have a philosophy, for I think verbalizing such things is already enclosing. I like to be surprised by life and to react consequently... I like to consider the act of living as an artistic process. I want every second of my life to be beautiful and I refuse to lower this expectations despite disappointments and down moments. :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have mostly used Couchsurfing as a surfer because the appartment I live in is very small, it is not the best accomodation. But I can make exceptions. I surf almost everytime I travel, not only because I have no money but mostly for the great encounters it offered me so far.

Interests

I am interested in most kinds of art (cinema, literature, visual arts, music...)
I love sharing ideas and experiences with people.
I love being surprised.
I almost wanna say: I'm interested in everything interesting, excuse me for the cliché - but it's pretty true in so far as every subject can generate my curiosity. Especially if I'm facing someone who know how to make it fun. ;)

Music, Movies, and Books

I am pretty eclectic in my tastes, but if I have to give precisions:

As I mentioned it I am a big fan of Ancient and classical music, but also 60s and 70s rock, and I had a big reggae moment.
In terms of movies, I particularly enjoy the "New Hollywood era" movies (Scorsese, Coppola...)
Books: I read mostly French and Russian literature (HAD to read Tolstoï and Dostoïevsky) but discovering literature of other continents is one of my goals for the next years to come. I read a lot of poetry, in French and English.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 2015, I was traveling with a group of friends to reach the Guca Festival in Serbia. While we were driving on the Slovenian highway, we got into a car crash. I thought my last hour had come. The car got broken into pieces but none of us were hurt, and as traumatized as we were, we decided not to end our travel. We went back to France wandering on the Italian roads, hosted by amazing couchsurfers, and it ultimately happened to be one of the best trip of my life...
