ABOUT ME

Ocean sailor, adventurer, writer, speaker and life-long student of all things exciting. I grew up traveling with my family (Navy dad) and continued that travel with my own military service before signing on to the Corporate America plan for my travel desires. Retired early, sailed oceans, rode motorcycles through all lower 48 states and have been chasing adventures at every turn.

PHILOSOPHY

Conformity leads to mediocrity. If you have a crazy dream - GO GET IT!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Just signed up (April 2012) after a friend recommended it to me. I am often traveling by boat from one port to the next and would like to see more of the local areas. I am also just getting settled into Sarasota, but once here - You're invited to stop in and see all this place has to offer.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None here - but have been couch surfing via military friends all my life. This just takes it to the next level.

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

Many to share but how about riding motorcycles for 218 days non-stop for charity. That's not the crazy part - we did it on two Harley's with sidecars. Each sidecar had a goggle-wearing, 100 lb Golden Retriever in it. All part of a national campaign I did to raise money and awareness for people with disabilities who need service animals. www.hogsfordogs.com

I've been many places in my life and am always happy to share local knowledge. I also spend a good portion of my time helping other set goals, focus on crazy dreams and mentoring them on their way to achieving them.
