About Me

CURRENT MISSION

ABOUT ME

I am just a young lad trying to figure out what its all about. Life is a really great thing.

I love to learn. I like trying things that other people like.

These things bring me pleasure, perhaps you enjoy them as well? Most importantly, food. Family, friends, and any meaningful relationship. Truth, honesty, peace, positivity (is that a word?). Balance in life. Adventure, travel, chaos, fun, new experiences and excitement. Reading (alot), learning, relaxing, enjoying life, nature, napping, deep or intellectual conversations, discovering myself (that sounds so lame when you say it out loud, but it is a really good thing). Humor, silliness, laughing at myself, being social, making jokes, being sarcastic or cynical (but not too much, cause that can be bad) creativity, people. Food is amazing, but eating food is way better. Adapting, changing, staying true, becoming better. Being active, parks, summer, playing around like a kid, climbing on stuff. Travel, big buildings, couch surfing, realizing my faults, an open mind, conviction, art, new people cultures foods cities. Being content and having a positive perspective might be the best way to have joy. Circumstances must be filtered through our perspective, so have a good perspective and you will have good circumstances (note: this has not been proven by science) If you want me to like you, peach cobbler warms my heart like nothing else.

life is good.

PHILOSOPHY

Not sure yet; I have been on quite a journey the last few years. I suppose this could some up what I think: The fact that I have some sort of consciousness means that stuff exists which means some statements are true (disregarding the shortcomings of language) about that stuff which means that there is Truth. But what are those true statements? And what is that Truth?

So I stopped going to school for a while to figure this kind of stuff out.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy these three things. As of late, books and music in particular. Any books on philosophy, science, psychology, anthropology, God, history and religion I find interesting. Some favorite bands include The Album Leaf, explosions in the sky, mewithoutyou, minus the bear, mogwai, muder by death, mutemath, postal service, sigur ros, stars, and others. I recently discovered that I really enjoy classical music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Lived.
Helped a man in Uganda with his leg wounds.
Seen Baboon butts.
worked for a TV celebrity chef.
Climbed a volcano.
Took a nap beneath Mayan ruins. (in the same spot that thousands of people were killed!)
Paid a prostitute €5 for a hug. (that was all)
My family adopted a girl from China, she is amazing.
