About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Start a Mix CD exchange on couchsurfing and move to another country.
ABOUT ME
I'm a well-traveled American with a dark sense of humor and a desire to always learn more. I live in San Francisco with a couple very uptight roommates, but they're leaving March 1st (let's celebrate!). I'm still available to meet for coffee or show you around, though!
PHILOSOPHY
I try to live my life without hypocrisy, which is a lot harder than it sounds (maybe just for Americans?)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I really enjoy being a gracious host and the most considerate guest most people will have. I really think this is the best way to travel. It allows people to be temporary locals instead of just tourists, so I want everone to have a good experience with me.
I know a lot of great bars and restaurants in my neighborhood (Nob Hill/North Beach/Chinatown), and if you have or rent a bicycle, I'd be happy to lead you over the Golden Gate Bridge for a ride and a picnic!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've done a fair amount of hosting in the US, but I didn't have much luck as a surfer in Europe. I've also stayed with host families in Germany and Japan, which was a lot of fun. I've also hosted a couple of bands from when my friend worked at a record label.
I didn't have a good experience as a surfer (most people just ignored requests), but I still hope to have a good time showing people around and maybe hosting after March 1st.
Interests
I like indie music, hiking, camping, reading, good beer, video games, cooking, exploring, learning, and playing guitar and piano.
