About Me

My name is Daniel, I'm a open-minded happy dude from Lysekil, near Gothenburg in Sweden.
I'm currently living just outside Gothenburg (10 mins by car, 15-20 mins with bus or train) and work as a developer in the fashion industry.

When I was 17 I moved to Paris to finish school and right after that I went to Oslo and stayed there for 3 years.
I later found love and moved to Gothenburg for a while, and then I moved close to the finnish border in a city called Luleå, Sweden. That relationship didn't work out so I moved back to Gothenburg where I've been for 3 years now.

I do not believe in god, but I have respect for people who do, as long as you don't push your religion on me.

I love music, traveling, meeting interesting people, partying.

I find people taking their friends way too much for granted. It's so easy keeping a life-long friendship just by telling them sometimes that you like them or miss them :) Think about it..

PHILOSOPHY

My goal is to be the best I can be at the things I love most. I love meeting people from countries who has stories to tell you that can't be read in the newspaper. I find the world to be way more complicated than meets the eye, and I want to find out as much as I can about it before I leave. I also spend a lot of time playing music and I've been a full-time DJ at one point but got tired of it (now I'm focusing my free-time on playing guitar and singing).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'd like to host for people who's looking for a really good time in Scandinavia. I would like to meet people from all over the world.

I still haven't tried couchsurfing when I'm travelling, I'm too bad of a planner. Everytime I just buy a flight ticket and make my way as I travel :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I discovered Couchsurfing through some friends who hosted for a couple of americans. I guess that's my only experience. But I got interested in hosting my self :) I'm a people person, so this is truly a great thing.

Edit: Now I've hosted myself, and I love it! Met some new friends I want to stay in touch with for life! Many interesting people made me love this concept of hosting.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music is my everything, without it I could never survive. It's hard to focus on one genre, but I currently listen mostly to rock bands such as Kings of Leon, Black Keys and a lot of 60's and 70's lesser known rock groups like Leafhound, Hocus Pocus and such.

When it comes to books I could never read a made up story, it doesn't interest me. I always choose to read biographies, history or science litterature.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Moving to France alone as a 17 year old when I couldn't speak french.

I've taught myself how to program enough to land a good job.

I've taught myself how to sing and play guitar.

I've created several companies in different businesses and help other people open new businesses several times per year.

Teach, Learn, Share

If I'm hosting for you, I could teach you some english, french, swedish, norwegian, music, computer technology, graphics designing or web-site making.

I can also teach you how to party like it was 1999!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'll buy a beer and share a couple of fun stories.

I'm not a good cook but if you'd like some traditional swedish food I can make some meatballs and mashed potatoes.

Countries I’ve Visited

Aruba, Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, England, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Spain, Switzerland, Tunisia, United States
