About Me

I live in Buenos Aires but whenever I get the chance I love to travel, in search of good food and good experiences. I speak English and Spanish fluently and can also converse in Italian and, when pushed Portuguese and French. My friends call me Frosty...;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I joined years ago but never got round to using couchsurfing but this year I'm planning to head off round Asia for a few months and feel like couchsurfing would be a really good way to get to know the continent and its people.

Interests

I love good food more than anything and spend most of my time whilst travelling looking for authentic cuisine that reflects the soul of the places I'm visiting. I like to check out the local art scene, cinema, opera and buzz round on my bike looking for the underbelly of wherever I happen to have ended up!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music...jazz, punk, prog rock, flamenco, cumbia, electronic, reggae, Indian ragga
Movies...what some might call weird art-house stuff...!
Books...literature, pulp fiction

I'm not going to start listing my favourites as it's impossible and always seems like trying too hard to impress. :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The football (soccer) tour of South America when I spent 8 months travelling the continent attending matches and running from trouble!

What I Can Share with Hosts

For me, airbnb and, hopefully, couchsurfing are all about sharing positive time and experiences with people from other cultures and backgrounds. The world is a pretty harsh place and most of it is beyond our control but I think that positive contact between people can contribute in some small way to making it a better place. Makes me sound like an old hippy...:)
