Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To be open to receiving guidance from the universe: to follow my wild instincts into enlightenment.
ABOUT ME
I'm a student at HSU; a rebellious wild child, and an advocate for socio-political justice. I cheer for the underdog, and sympathize with artists. I have lived in many places: Los Angeles, western Nebraska, northern Nevada, Sacramento, northern Idaho, Boston, north-central Vermont, Nova Scotia and this place, which is pretty rad if I do say so myself.
PHILOSOPHY
Life is a collection of experiences; and I am an avid collector.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have couchsurfed all over Canada: Toronto, Quebec City, Prince George, Whitehorse and Vancouver. I like Canada, eh? :)
I'm excited to finally host, and eager to reciprocate the kindness, generosity and trust that I've been shown in my travels.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have had the most amazing traveling experiences with couchsurfers; one CSer gave my gf and I a bicycle tour of Toronto, and then followed it up by giving us the keys to her house and 2 bikes, and then telling us to go exploring and come home whenever!
In Whitehouse, YT our host couldn't be there to host us, so he lent us use of his cabin in the woods while we were there: limitless trust. I've had much love received, and therefore have much love to give.
Interests
Backpacking/hiking, bicycling, longboarding, metaphysical conversations, fart jokes, SOIL (big time), gardening, singing (non-professionally), promoting equality, playing frisbee, hackey-sack, soccer (football), American football, and general sports and games enthusiasm. Scrabble! Cooking/potlucking, lounging around in bright sunny areas, running, skipping, hanging out with friends and laughing at the clouds.

Music, Movies, and Books
Books & Authors: The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test; Cyrus Cyrus; The Prophet; The Return of Merlin; everything by Jeannette Winterson; Sylvia Plath; Ngonge Shange; Wislawa Szymborska; Jack Kerouac (even though he was a misogynist); Bukowski (because he was a misogynist); James Joyce; The Invisible Committee
Music: [The Short List]: Yeasayer, Ozomatli, Kaki King, Empire of the Sun, Brazilian Girls, Ratatat, Phoenic, MGMT, Michael Franti & Spearhead, Delhi 2 Dublin, Regina Spektor, The Avett Brothers, Ben Folds, Wilco, CocoRosie, TV On the Radio, Le Loup, Sufjan Stevens, LED ZEPPELIN (all time favorite), pretty much all classic rock, orchestral music and music that makes me feel like a feather in a vacuum chamber
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have experienced a feeling close to rapture watching the sun rise on a dewy summer morning in the Selkirk mountain range in northern Idaho after a sleepless night. I have never felt more in commune with the Earth, with nature, and with the rhythms of an infinitude of universes.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm a senior studying soils and have worked on both livestock and vegetable/fruit CSA farms (Community Supported Agriculture) for the last 3 years. I'm happy to share what I know, and am eager to hear what you know too!
I try to live D.I.Y, and am constantly searching out new and interesting ways to salvage things for art or practical usage. Earlier this spring (2010) I taught a workshop for women on how to use tools called "Take Back the Tools".
