About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Writing my first sitcom

ABOUT ME

Well.. where to start. I love having a good time and meeting new people. I have a few friends from all corners of the globe already.
I love to be outdoors, and regularly finding myself playing sport, and now training for Tough Mudder! I can't think of anything worse than being cooped up indoors, doing just that - being. I love to give almost any sport a go, my current target is Aussie Rules football. My main sport love though is "soccer", or football as it's known where I'm from. Over the years I've also played rugby and tennis competitively as well as socially.
I love listening to music, despite not knowing much about bands or artists except for their names. I'm not really so interested in the famous people so much as what they do, although I would love to go to some music festivals some time soon.
I like to think of myself as spontaneous, I rarely plan things more than a few days in advance. I have big plans for the future though, possibly too many for one lifetime but I'll sure as hell try my best to fit them all in.

PHILOSOPHY

I've had a lot of philosophies over the years, but I guess at the moment it would be "be who you want to be, do what you want to do". That's the philosophy that got me to Australia all on my own and it's possibly the best decision I ever made.

A more recent one is "The biggest risk is not taking one"

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Unfortunately I am unable to host at the moment as I'm in shared accommodation but when I have my own place I will be looking to host as many people as possible. I've loved every moment that's come about as a result of couchsurfing.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfed with two brilliant people in Melbourne. Loved my time at each of their places and ended up renting half a room with one of them. I have gained some friends that I hope to keep in contact with for a long, long time, and can't wait to surprise them when I go back!

Interests

I love sport, I can sit and watch most sports on tv, and if I'm new to a sport I'm more than willing to give it a go. I love being social too, and really miss the couchsurfing socials and meet ups in Melbourne.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love a whole range of music. I guess I don't have one specific genre. I'll listen to anything really from the hip-hop, acoustic, alternative rock, pop, r'n'b, indie etc. genres. The same can be said for the movies I watch. I don't mind watching chick flicks as long as they aren't too tacky.. My favourite films though.. probably Layer Cake, Gran Torino, and Law Abiding Citizen.
Books are something I've gotten into a bit more in recent years, although my short attention span limits the number of books I really get my teeth into at the moment.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was part of a voluntary christian missionary group who went to Kenya to work with volunteer groups there who help people who have been affected by aids. It was the most amazing and eye-opening experience of my life.
