About Me

I'm self-employed, my passions are building and designing objects that will last many lifetimes. I like walking thru the pines with a backpack of hoppy beer and taking awesome nature photos. I'm a collector of gems&minerals. My favorite things to catch are footballs. My favorite things to throw are darts and frisbees. In the spring I spend a lot of time at the lakes fishing for bass. I ride a drop-deck longboard and when a good hill presents itself I have no trouble pausing my business to ride it.
I'm a 3rd generation American. My family tree has its roots in Europe: Italy, Czechoslovakia, Poland, and Hungary.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm here on couchsurfing because it is a far more enriching experience compared to being a lonely traveller. It's so nice to meet and spend time with cool and fun people during my travels. After driving for hours with no one to talk with, I much prefer the couchsurfing experience compared to stepping into a cold lonely motel room with nothing for company except an old TV set.
I want to learn about the places I'm driving thru from people who've lived there. I love sharing stories and hearing about local legends and lore.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Discovered an amazingly delicious sauce for chicken by mixing tahini goddess dressing with enchilada sauce.

Created a sugar-free and healthy soft drink. The recipe is a secret, but if I have or can acquire the ingredients I'll gladly make some to share.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'll share whatever I can.
There's the intangibles like humor, companionship, information, advice, etc. More tangibly, I always have some sweet gems or crystals to donate to a host. I will probably have some beer or drinks to share. I don't travel with a lot of food, but I do often have something special from wherever I've just came from.
I have some artistic talent, and if I stay somewhere long enough to have the free time, I'll be glad to make my hosts a gift.
I also may have extras of something I'd use eventually, like bars of exotic soap.
