About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To travel more, share my culture with new people, and learn as many languages as possible.
ABOUT ME
I am from Oregon, which is very green a beautiful! I live with my husband David, who works in an airplane factory and has his private helicopter pilot license. I am studying to become a multi-lingual medical interpreter at Western Oregon University. I was an exchange student to Catania Sicily in 2006 and it was the best year of my life! I have been able to return and also visit other exchange students in other countries.
PHILOSOPHY
I don't like asking someone to do something for me if I can't do the same for them. I really think that the more intercultural meetings between people take place, the closer we are to world peace.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've couch surfed in Italy when I went back to visit friends and family, so some of my hosts I met here and some were my host family when I was an exchange student. I have never had the chance to host because I don't think many people have heard of McMinnville! But hopefully I can change that. :)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I don't know if being an exchange student counts; it's like the ultimate couch surf! But I did meet people here and stay with them when I was in Sicily. I've also met up with other exchange students and stayed with them.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My exchange year in Sicily was by far the best year of my life! I got to live a few miles from the Mediterranean sea, eat delicious Italian food every day and meet other exchange students from all over the world!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach English and Italian, I have experience doing both. I am an intermediate American Sign Language user and would love to practice! I have conversational spanish skills as well and am working on improving. I also am very good and cooking and sewing and would be glad to teach anyone some basic recipes/patterns!
