It is one of the best ways to get in touch with locals! CS provides a completely different travel experience than just booking a hotel room and visiting all the standard sights.

A place to sleep, interesting conversations, a lot of travel stories, a glass of wine and some nicely cooked, vegetarian food (I always try to recreate dishes from all over the world) :)
