Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To keep my sanity, while attempting to get into graduate school
ABOUT ME
I traveled a lot when I was younger, while my grandmother was working for an airline. Later, I got a degree in ecology. I am a bird enthusiast, and since graduating I have held a variety of temporary bird research jobs. I hope to eventually do more international traveling, but for now I focus on visiting U.S. public lands, working on my life list, and reading good books.
PHILOSOPHY
Any truth worth basing decisions on can be discovered through observation and analysis.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Interests
My primary interests are wilderness recreation and conservation. I enjoy hiking, camping, and birdwatching. I like to read. Some of my favorite books are works of fiction, but the bulk of what I read is non-fiction. I particularly enjoy travel writing and historical narratives. My ultimate goal is to become a science writer, and I am working toward that by learning as much as I can about the world around me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I once tracked a Black Bear in the Utah canyon country. I never saw the bear, but the experience of tracing his journey made me feel more connected to him.
