Overview
About Me
I'm a transplant from the East Coast and decided to stay in Nebraska after finishing grad school because it's hard to move furniture, my cat screams nonstop when I put him in the car, and I love Runza too much.
I live with my boyfriend and our two cats in an apartment on the east side of Lincoln. All four of us enjoy singing (yes, the cats, too) and watching documentaries. I also enjoy knitting, painting, and putting off laundry until the guilt crushes me. He enjoys homebrewing, cooking, and kicking soccer balls in the living room. Rest in peace, my Star Trek pint glass...
I work full time and he works multiple part time jobs, so our schedules are a bit unpredictable. We're also introverted, so staying out late at crowded bars and going out dancing isn't exactly our jam, but we have some favorite local brewery taprooms, and there's a sweet French bakery within walking distance of our place.

Music, Movies, and Books
ECLECTIC. I'll leave it there.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I once saw golf-ball sized hail while at an opera workshop in South Dakota. I collected some of the hailstones and plopped them in my drink.
Teach, Learn, Share
I sing opera (and art song, oratorio, operetta, and other things people usually lump together with "opera"). I'd be happy to share some of my favorite operas with you.
I knit like a BOSS. I can promise you there will be show and tell. Anyone who stands still long enough will be shown some lace shawls.
I used to play flute...and I mean, it used to be my major in college, so it was serious. If you're coming to UNL for an audition at the school of music, let's sight read some duets!
What I Can Share with Hosts
If I come to stay with you, let me know what your favorite color is and I will knit you something. Unless that sounds horrible, in which case I'll bring you wine. If both knitting and wine sound horrible to you, then...we can probably still be friends? I don't know? ;)
