I'm a 27 years old and have just started my PhD in oceanography in Zürich. I'm from the northern part of Germany, but haven't actually lived there for a few years now.

I am addicted to travelling and getting to know different cultures and great people! That's why I think CS is one of the best things in the world!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Until now, I surfed more than I hosted. But I hope to also do more hosting in the future.

I also participated in a lot of CS meetings all over Europe.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had a wonderful week in Paris a few years ago - and now I can't stop couchsurfing any more!

Couchsurfed in France, Switzerland, Italy, Denmark, Norway,, Austria and the USA already - lots of places will follow :)

Hosted less until now - hope this changes in the future!

Interests

Meeting couchsurfers from all around the world! I like to listen to people's travelling stories, learn about different cultures. As you can see in my language section I'm addicted to foreign languages ;)

I also really enjoy cooking with my guests! If you could show me how to cook something typical from your country (preferably vegetarian ;)) or your favourite meal in general - your chances of getting hosted increase a lot ;)

Generally I'm a curious person and interested in a lot of things, e.g. all kinds of sports (but especially handball and tennis) and music...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In August 2013, I was taken along to watch a Grindadráp on the Faroe Islands. That was probably the most intense thing I have ever seen, but I am still very grateful that I was given a chance to be a part of it. It helped me understand a lot of things about whaling on the Faroes.
