Overview
About Me
I'm a Moldovan guy doing a journalism fellowship in Prague. I've studied Anthropology and Sociology, so I can talk a lot about history/politics/society over many beers or glasses of wine. I joke freely about sensitive topics, so yeah, keep that in mind.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I started using CS because otherwise I wouldn't afford travelling. While in Prague, I'm finally able to help others. It is perfectly okay to use CS just to get a free bed to sleep in. Be straightforward.
Interests
Films, sociology / anthropology, history, beer, wine, billiards
Music, Movies, and Books
I mainly like sci-fi and fantasy books and movies.
In movies, I love Lord of the Rings, X-men, Stanley Kubrick, the Coen brothers and Kusturica.
Some of my favorite books are Bradbury's Fahrenheit 451, a lot of Jules Verne and Asimov, Palahniuk's Fight Club and Rant, Fowles' The French Lieutenant's Wife, LOTR, and many others.
In music, i mostly stick to Eastern European folk (Gypsy, Balkan, Klezmer). In Turkey, I know only Barış Manço.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Slept drunken on a railway. Survived.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach some Romanian, although I doubt there is a high demand for it. Also some basic Russian and Turkish.
