I am from Adelaide, Australia and currently based in Stirling, Scotland. My boyfriend and I are planning a big cycle trip to go from Scotland>Australia starting in September 2017. In the lead up to this I am travelling to festivals all over the UK and Europe doing Henna Art, Face Painting and other creative things. I will mostly be travelling by bike within the UK and camping along the way.

I am an easy going person who loves to chat to like minded people but also enjoy quiet time alone. I currently live with a Spanish couple and love to practice my Spanish whenever I can (I am a real beginner). I eat mostly vegan (however I will not be offended by others eating animal products); I love cooking for others and sharing meals. I am a non-smoker and prefer not to be around others when they are smoking.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to travel and explore new places, I have found the best way to get the most out of a new place is to meet locals and get a local perspective on the place. I also do a lot of travel on my own and I find it is a great way to find other people to share my experience with.

Interests

I love all kinds of world music and love discovering new sounds, so if you have any to recommend to me, please do so! I also enjoy all things creative, painting, drawing, sculpting, admiring artwork etc. I love cycling, hiking, rock climbing and other adventurous sports.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like pretty much all kinds of music. Most of the time I listen to chilled alternative beats, including Ben Howard, Xavier Rudd and whatever Spotify picks for me.

I have my favourite movies which I tend to watch on repeat and I also love documentaries on just about anything.

I am not a big book reader however I have recently found a few cycle touring books which have captured my attention.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My most recent achievement was cycling from Adelaide to Melbourne. It was a bike touring trip with two of my best friends, we camped along the way and carried all our gear with us. It was an incredible achievement and has pushed me to take cycle touring to the next level.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to cook and learn new recipes from all parts of the world as well as sharing my cooking knowledge.

I can teach face painting, henna art and other art methods, I have taught a beginner face painting class for over a year and I absolutely love seeing other people learning.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share smiles, laughs, stories, meals and skills - I also love to share my art with others, especially doing henna art. If I can I will always leave a little art piece for you.
