ABOUT ME
I live in Chicago, inland from the shore of Lake Michigan on the near-west side. Before moving here I lived in southern Ohio all my life. I'm a public school kid. I learned French in a magnet program in primary school and had 2 brief stints that I spent in France as part of an exchange program. I also studied Spanish, last winter, in an immersion program in the altiplanos of Guatemala. My love of wild nature lead me to study plant biology and, since moving to Chicago and realizing that grad school isn't for me, I've been spending time working with native and cultivated plants trying to find a path of study outside of the university complex. Something like an apprenticed study would probably suit me best. More on that in person. This year, I am taking a class in herbalism and I plan to grow as much food as possible!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am new to CS. In fact, I just joined because I will be visiting eastern Michigan a lot this year, especially in the Detroit area. I want to connect with others in Detroit who sound like kindred spirits.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I am new to this website and, though I have traveled a bit in my time, I have not used anything like this before. That's why I am not 'verified' and don't have any friends yet, fyi.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The first time I heard wolves singing in the wild, I was in northeastern Minnesota. It was late in the summer.
