I would say I am an outgoing person. I'm not afraid to try new things and strive to have an optimistic view on life. I love learning through the stories of others and giving people time to shine :). If you ever need to talk to anyone, I would love to listen!

Interests

I am a huge fan of storytellers. I love listening to people and what they have to share with the world. I also enjoy trying new foods... I absolutely love food! I feel that food has a unique art of bringing people together :). I spend my time hanging out with friends and family if I'm not at work or school.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Going to Ghana to trace the Trans-Atlantic Slave trade has to be one of the most amazing experiences I have ever had. I went with a group through Indiana University-Bloomington and we studied the Triangular trade from the states to Ghana and ending in England. Amazing experience! Visiting family in Nicaragua is always amazing too since I never really get to see them. Especially seeing my grandfather... he has to be probably the coolest guy I have ever met in my life.

I am a Latina US born individual and have lived different experiences sharing 2 beautiful cultures. I am currently working as a community organizer and will be doing this for the next three years of my life. I am super excited for what I will learn. I believe strongly in living vicariously through others and love to learn from people... I'm not big on titles... just life experiences :).
