ABOUT ME

I grew up in an awesome family in a suburb of Chicago, IL. I spent a majority of my time ice skating or horseback riding. In university I was on a varsity synchronized ice skating team with whom I won 4 consecutive National Championships. I also learned to love to travel in university when I studied French and had the opportunity to study abroad. Now, in my first year out of university, I have no idea what I want to do for the rest of my life but I'm having a great time living and working in France and enjoying all that life has to offer!

PHILOSOPHY

Currently, I live my life to gain meaningful experiences that help me learn and grow. It's such a wonderful adventure living in France!

In the future, I want to live my life to make an impact. I want to change people's lives for the better in any way possible.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now I am living in a small bedroom in the apartment of a French family in Lyon. I have barely enough room for all of my stuff, let alone a couchsurfer! For the time being I can only offer to meet for coffee or a drink and to show someone around Lyon - it's a GREAT city!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couch surfed with a friend through Italy and with another friend in Istanbul and I had a GREAT time! Couch surfing definitely makes traveling even more fun and meaningful than it already is.

Centres d'intérêt

Just about anything - I was always the worst at filling out those "What should your career be?" tests because I would check the "yes" box for everything!

I'm up for just about anything and I find all human experiences interesting. If I want to get particular though, I like reading, physical activities, volunteer work, politics and current events, working with children, and learning new things.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

I love any music - from folk music to rap and classical to punk.

As for books, I love to read books that have hidden messages that make you think but I also love to just read trashy novels that have no point besides entertainment.

I have too many favorite movies to even get started here. I like any genre but romance, comedy, and documentary are probably my favorites.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

One amazing thing I've done is lead my varsity synchronized skating team to a National Championship. It's so rewarding when you work hard for months on end with a group of people that are so diverse and dynamic and you receive the highest form of praise from the experts in the field. I hope to be able to replicate this form of achievement in my future career.

Also, hang-gliding was pretty amazing!

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

I can definitely teach you to ice skate but that may be a little hard in certain areas. I can help you learn French if you don't already know how. Mainly I can just discuss any subject with you and we can share our ideas.

I would love to continue learning how to cook. My French family has got me started but it's going to take more than just a few months!
