ABOUT ME
Well, here I am...Crete!!!! For almost the whole month (March 2019)!!! And I might have made a mistake...I rented a little studio in the middle of nowhere, with dogs barking at me all the time, night and day, and apart from my work, readings and long walks on the beach, I am bored!!! I need to meet people, to socialize, to have fun!!!!
2016: Time goes on...after 2 great months in a remote place in Scotland, I moved to Novigrad, Croatia. Almost a month of precious nature, peacefulness and yoga practicing on the beach....not bad at all!!
Now I am in Ljubljana, Slovenia, for a few weeks, and will spend Xmas and New Year's Eve here...
So if you want to meet, let me know!!!!
CONFIRMED!!!! I will spend at least 2 months in Scotland, Highlands, sharing a very nice place I found through Airbnb...and even less expensive than renting in France or Spain!
So on the 29th of August, I will land at Edinburgh, spend a couple of days in this city I love, enjoy the Royal Mile and the Fringe, and then get to Inverness...
So I am looking for a host in Edinburgh for August the 29th, and maybe 2 more nights in order to get to Inverness on the 2nd of September.
I already know the city, as I spent a few time when I was living in London, and this time I would love to stay with a host from Scotland, and not any hostel...
If you want to practice your spanish or fench, I am your man (well....woman ;))...
Hi! I am french, but at least a 1/4 spanish after 12 years leaving in Barcelona and Madrid!
And after 2 years in Berlin, and 4 mouths travelling around Argentina, Chili, Bolivia, Peru and Uruguay, I am on the road again, and soooooo happy... ;)
Translator, french teacher, storyteller, I love theatre, improvisation, creative writing, playing, laughing, knowing new people and sharing all my experiences!
For me "la libertad de cada uno termina donde empieza la de los demás"
"the freedom of some ends where the freedom of others begins"
Between november 2014 and march 2015, I had the huge pleasure and luck to travel around South America, with a special crush for Chili where I even worked in a "alternative therapies" centre : changed me completely!
I am back to Europe with a new project : TRAVELLING AROUND THE COUNTRIES I DON'T KNOW YET OR LOVED, WITH MY COMPUTER, AND SEE IF I CAN FIND MY NEXT BEST PLACE TO LIVE...
And then, maybe "settle down" a little and be able this time to host my own travellers!!!!! Wouldn't that be great?!
Would you help me make my dream come true ?
I only need 2 things : a place to work (table, office) and internet! If I get a translation, I might spend 8 hours a day on my computer for a few days, but then I am 100% available to visit, share, enjoy the people and the places!
I am very excited about that new project, and as my translation projects are not so well paid, I chose couchsurfing to travel around, the best option in my case.
My journey will take me to Scotland at first, and then maybe Portugal, or Croatia, Greece, and any other country you might want to host me!! I am completely opened to suggestions!!
Awaiting for your comments or advice!
Carine
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
At the beginning, I created my profile because friends told me that it would be nice to be hosted in South America, and I really enjoyed it! I did only twice because the internet connexion there was terrible, but it was a great experience!
I am quite shy, not the one talking to everyone at a party, but when I get along well with someone, I enjoy listening, sharing stories, experiences, and I've been told my cooking is quite surprising...
Now that I travelled a little bit, alone, making friends everywhere, I realized how meeting new people, especially with different backgrounds and points of view, could make my life richer...
If I could give one sentence to summarize my character at that right moment, it would be "stop thinking about the past and worrying about the future or the money, do your best, live your passions, be nice to everyone and everyone will be nice to you..."
Interests
storytelling, theatre, music, reading with a nice capuccino and a beautiful view... and if good company, even better!
Lately, yoga, a bit of meditation, healthy food and the project of creating my blog, not for commercial purposes, just to be able to gather all my experiences and share them with my people.

Music, Movies, and Books
I am a big fan of the Terminator saga... not too proud of it, but well, I can live with it !
BIG FISH (the movie) of course
EAT, PRAY, LOVE (the book), and above all,
THE CELESTINE PROPHECY (the book)... love to talk about it !
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Difficult question... tricky...
I would say : at 40-years-old, deciding that "yes", I could change the things I didn't like in my life anymore, even if this life was not so bad. I left 12 years in Barcelona, my friends, jobs (I am a freelancer), and decided to leave the "good" to find the "better".
And no regrets !
And you know what : so far, I only had really really good experiences!!!
Teach, Learn, Share
I am a french teacher, and fluent in spanish : so choose your language, I would love to share a conversation with you !
What I Can Share with Hosts
Soy profe de frances, hago teatro y soy cuentacuentos... a ver si organizamos una velada!
I love theatre, improvisation, storytelling, and if you give me a stage, I might jump at the chance to tell you a story!
Countries I’ve Visited
Albania, Argentina, Bolivia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, Croatia, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Kosovo, Montenegro, Peru, Réunion, Slovenia, Spain, Turkey, United Kingdom, Uruguay
