About Me

Hi! My name is Cari. I'm 24 years old, originally from Atlanta and currently living in Boulder, Colorado. Last year, I couch surfed through South East Asia with one of my best friends on her account and now I'm planning a new adventure through the west coast.

I'm extremely easy going, tidy and gracious to all of my hosts.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

For me, the joy of traveling lives within the experiences shared with people I would otherwise never meet. For me, couchsurfing embodies the spirit of adventure that we all crave- authentic conversations, exploring a new place with the guidance of someone who knows it intimately and that slightly uneasy / very exciting feeling when you just have no idea what to expect.

Interests

I love cooking breakfast and having conversations over coffee, meeting new people, jamming (I'll have my instruments :), watching movies, seeing live music, painting with watercolors, watching reruns of Seinfeld and meeting new people.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Just days ago I witnessed a homeless gentleman being harassed by a group of kids in a town plaza. I stared for a few minutes with all of the other park dwellers in disbelief as they road his bike around him laughings and throwing his belongings to each other. It finally hit me that by not acting, I was participating in the torment of this man. When I finally stepped in (admittedly minutes later than I should have), it broke the seal of the bystander and suddenly all of the previously silent on lookers were standing right beside me, in between the man and his bullies.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love to play music, for me it is the quickest way to connect and understand what people are about.

I love to cook and would be happy to help with a meal and even cook a dish of my own (I have a few solid ones up my sleeve). Would also love to keep in touch via snail mail and send postcards from my journey.
